Foundation Golden Rescue Retriever
The foundation golden rescue retriever will provide information on training, finding a reputable breeder and care of a dog.
Like all purebreds, dogs of this breed are prone to a number of hereditary disorders. Only with careful selective breeding it’s possible to avoid them in a litter. Both parents should be screened prior to mating. Animals with defective recessive genes should be bred very carefully. If a dog is of a show quality, it doesn’t mean that it’s suited for breeding, as it may be prone to a serious disorder, which can be transmitted to the offspring. Hip dysplasia is common in this breed. Other typical disorders are cancer, the most common being hemangiosarcoma; eye diseases, including cataracts, progressive retinal atrophy, glaucoma, and entropion; heart and skin diseases.
