Golden Retriever Rescue Club
You may contact any golden retriever rescue, club, or breeder for a photo gallery of show dogs or photos of puppies.
Such organizations accept the dogs from owners who can no longer keep them. Until a new home is found, the dog stays in a foster home where it is rehabilitated, socialized and cared for by volunteers. Adoptive homes are selected very carefully. Every potential adopter fills out an adoption application and has a home visit to make sure that his/her family is able to provide all necessary conditions for the dog of this breed. Each member of the family must agree to the adoption. Families with small children are usually refused adoption.

Golden Retriever Rescue Club -

Novice owners attracted by a cute dog of this breed shown on TV should not begin with buying a young dog. Adult or senior pets are the best way out for the first-time owners. The owner should be patient and consistent when training a puppy. Buying a purebred pup with a good pedigree from a reputable breeder doesn’t necessarily mean that it will succeed in competitions. Owning a purebred puppy is a greater responsibility than owning an adult dog, because the future personality, working abilities and health of a puppy depend mostly on the owner. You may contact any golden retriever rescue, club, or breeder for a photo gallery of show dogs or photos of puppies.
